Battle Mountain Ridge Project
Waseco Resources Inc. has optioned a gold project in the famous Battle Mountain area of Nevada, USA .
This project is called the Battle Mountain Ridge Project. It consists of 29 claims near Silver Standard Mining Inc.’s (formerly Gold Corp and Barrick) Marigold Mine (3 Million ounces Au) and approximately 6 miles north of Newmont’s Phoenix Gold Mine (over 10 Million ounces Au). The property ties on to Silver Standard’s Trenton Canyon Mine. (approx. 300,000 ounces Au). Trenton Canyon is an open pit mine with a cut-off reported to be 0.2 g/t Au.
The Battle Mountain Ridge claims host a non National Instrument 43-101 compliant historic resource of 2.9 million short tons of 0.023 oz/T Au (0.95 g/t Au). (This resource is historical in nature and has not been reviewed by Waseco geologists and as such, should not be relied upon). Systematic exploration since 2011 has confirmed previous results and identified over 20 high priority drill targets on the property.
The Board of directors approved a reverse circulation drill program for 2016. We invite our readers to view the 2017 Power Point Presentation detailing the program. Click here to view .
Waseco has acquired a 100% interest in the leases to the property. The property is subject to a 5% Net Smelter Royalty, of which 2.5% can be bought at any time for U.S.$ 1.5 Million.
This project has the potential for discovery of over 1,000,000 oz. of new gold mineralization. Nevada is North America’s most prolific gold producing region and with the recent surge in precious metal prices has become the focus of a new and extensive round of exploration by many junior and senior companies.
