Wherever Waseco operates, management recognises that the company is there as part of the community and therefore accepts that it has a social and environmental responsibility, as well as moral and ethical responsibilities to uphold. Environmental Policy
Waseco is committed to protecting the local Labrador Trough Project habitat and the surrounding environment from exploration through to project development, production and final closure. The Company’s objective is to achieve long term sustainability between the protection of the environment and economic growth.
To accomplish these commitments, Waseco has set a high level of standards and the Company will:
Comply and outperform all applicable environmental laws, regulations and other requirements applicable to best industry standards |
Use industry leading professionals to complete baseline studies of the environmental regime in order identify and conserve. |
Institute and maintain environmental management systems to identify, monitor and control all aspects of the Company’s activities. |
Consider foremost environmental issues in all planning, design and operational decisions. |
Monitor and improve the Company’s environmental performance to limit the negative impacts on the environment. |
Progressively rehabilitate the environment affected through our activities and apply proven management methodologies. |
Communicate our actions transparently in a timely manner to all public, government and communities stakeholders.

Waseco is committed to maintaining the highest standards of business conduct and ethics in its accounting standards and disclosures, internal accounting controls, and audit practices.
